Educational Choice Scholarship Program — 20 Schools

• The Cincinnati Christian Schools, in Hamilton, say in their statement of faith, “we believe in the creation of man by the direct act of God as recorded in the Book of Genesis.”

• Temple Christian School, in Lima, says, “parents want their children to be educated at home and at school with the consciousness that all truth is God’s truth, including history and geography, science.”  They also discriminate based on IQ and physical and mental disability.

• Middletown Christian Schools, in Middletown says, “We believe in the creation of man by the direct act of God as recorded in the Book of Genesis” and uses ABeka and Bob Jones.

• Emmanuel Christian School, in Springfield, says it uses Alpha Omega’s Ignitia in its handbook.  It also says, students must “believe in the creation of man by the direct act of God.  (Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 5:1-2)” and also interestingly notes, “Emmanuel Christian Academy neither supports nor endorses… any other world, national or regional organization which gives Christian recognition to unbelievers or which advocates multi-faith union.”

• Springfield Christian School, in Springfield, uses ABeka and Bob Jones.

• Bethel Christian Academy, in Parma, uses ABeka and Bob Jones.

• Genoa Christian School, in Westerville, says, “Students will explore God’s creation of the universe, life, technology and the interaction of natural systems. Using the scientific method, with hands-on experiments, students will deepen their understanding and application of science.  Specific emphasis is focused upon giving students critical thinking skills to enable them to effectively discern how to evaluate secular scientific claims and dogma in light of biblical truth.”

• Gahanna Christian Academy, in Gahanna, uses ABeka and Bob Jones.  They also have restrictions on student’s independent reading books.  They say, “There is to be nothing dealing with the occult, magic spells or curses” and also “There should not be rebellion without consequences.”

• Madison Christian Senior High School, in Groveport, teaches biology as, “the origin of life all in the light of God’s Word.”

• Cornerstone Christian Academy, in Cincinnati, uses ACE.

• Eden Grove Academy, in Cincinnati, uses ABeka.

• Harrison Christian School, in Harrison, says, “We believe all things in the universe were created by God in six literal days of the creation week (Genesis 1:1-2:3, Exodus 20:8-11) and that the biblical record of primeval earth history in Genesis 1-11 is fully historical.”

• Jefferson County Christian, in Mingo Junction, uses ABeka.

• Cornerstone Christian Academy, in Willoughby, says Biology class “will place emphasis on the origin of life from a creationist view contrasted and compared to evolutionary beliefs.”

• Liberty Christian Academy, in Pataskala, says in its statement of faith, “We believe in the biblical account of creation and that the Scriptures clearly and distinctly teach that the creation of man lies in the immediate and formative acts of God. (Genesis 1:1, Colossians 1:16, Isaiah 42:5, Revelation 4:11).”

• Troy Christian Schools, in Troy, cover “Biblical creation.”

• Dayton Christian School, in Miamisburg, says in Biology, “there is a strong emphasis on God as the Creator of our world.”

• East Dayton Christian, in Dayton, uses ABeka and Purposeful Design.

• Salem Christian Academy, in Clayton, uses ABeka, Concordia, and Bob Jones.

• Mansfield Christian School, in Mansfield, teaches Biology using Answers in Genesis, the website run by Ken Ham, the founder of the creationism museum.
